Review & Pictorial: Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Sticks

Sorry it has been a while...I've been in a makeup rut for the past two weeks and this heat wave in California makes me not want to to deal with any makeup!

One of my favorite colors to wear is turquoise! When I saw Rimmel London's Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Stick at the drugstore, I just had to pick it up! They remind me of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils & Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencils. I purchased two colors: Tempting Turquoise and Bulletproof Beige. You can use this as an eye shadow base or for all over color. For the pictorial, I used Tempting Turquoise. I think the eye shadow sticks are better off as bases, not to wear alone because it tends to crease. Also, be careful not to apply too much otherwise it will clump up. I think I will go ahead and buy more! Although, I wish they had a greater variety of colors. So, below is my Tempting Turquoise inspired pictorial! Enjoy!

Please click below to read the steps!

Step 1: I started by priming the eye lid with Mac's Painterly Paint Pot. Then with any blending brush, (I used Makeup Addiction "The Blender") apply Mac's "Red Brick" on the crease.

Step 2: Define the outer corner by applying a dark brown e/s with a Mac 217 brush. I used the dark brown from Maybelline's "Stylish Smokes" eye palette.

Step 3: With a pencil brush, (Makeup Addiction "The Detailer") line the lower lash line with Mac's "Chrome Yellow."

Step 4: Apply Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Stick in the shade "Tempting Turquoise" on the lid. To prevent clumping, I applied it with a packer brush (Makeup Addiction "The Shader").

Step 5: Apply eyeliner, I use NYC Liquid Eyeliner. Highlight the inner tear duct and arch of the brow bone with Mac's "Ricepaper."

Step 6: I've also lined my waterline with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk." Apply mascara and favorite lashes! I used NYC Sky Rise mascara and Select Lash S1 & S47 stacked.

    1. Yes, you must sharpen them. They are not automatic eye shadow sticks. You can buy a sharpener that is for jumbo pencils at drugstores.

  4. I found a sharpener that works but the newly sharpened edges are SO sharp that they will cut your eyelid. Love the product, but the pencil is unacceptable.
